Podcast: Is AI a Religion?

I am finally making my debut as a podcast bro. (The episode is in Norwegian only.)

Or rather, I am a guest with Magnus Marsdal in this week’s episode of Inn i AI-bobla ("Into the AI Bubble"). It is a new series that takes on all the big questions around AI.

This week we discuss whether AI has become a religion in Silicon Valley. Plus questions such as:

• Why I think AI is an existential threat, and whether Nicolai Tangen is a prophet or a madman (or both).
• What is hype and what is actually worth worrying about.
• Whether the people selling the optimistic story and the people selling the pessimistic one might both be opportunistic bluffers.
• And whether anyone can predict anything at all about what is going to happen.
